About Natalie Buley
Working with Eating Disordered clients over the past twenty years has been a journey of learning, respect and honour.
I am in constant pursuit to offer my clients a more valuable and wholistic service to provide some relief from this illness.
It’s obvious that being harassed by intrusive thoughts – which can lead to unhelpful behavior choices – is exhausting. Sharing these thoughts and struggles can temporarily provide relief and can even prevent the reactive behavior that follows.
A contact session is direct contact by voice online. Having a chat at a tricky time is helpful. These sessions are 15 – 90 minutes in length and are facilitated by the following platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype or Facetime.
Sometimes its easier to get things out (of your head and/or heart) by texting. Often, talking through the situation is too difficult or painful. Message support is offered on the following platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp & Instagram.
These sessions provide therapeutic support during shopping (food and/or clothes) or at a restaurant meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Supper). I will accompany you and provide support during this time.
“Finding the space to PAUSE can shift this reactive cycle. I believe that having a sounding board for these moments provides the PAUSE.
With this in mind I am offering a real-time portal to connect or debrief, perhaps even to find solace from the internal suspicious and destructive voices.
The springboard of recovery is ACTion; ACCEPTANCE, CONNECTION and Self COMPASSION and TRUST.”

A few words from some of my clients
Natalie is a caring and personable therapist. She was always approachable and I felt she always related to me and the other patience with tenderness, humanity and deep care. I continued Skype treatment with Natalie after discharge and always found the sessions beneficial.
Natalie is easy to talk to and you can tell she has experience and expertise in treating eating disorders. The therapy she offered was always well rounded addressing all areas of difficulty but always making sure to stress the positives. It made sessions bearable even when ‘hard work’ was being done. Being treated by Natalie is like speaking to a specialised friend rather than a programed robot.
I worked with Natalie when I was struggling with my bulimia and the anxiety that came with it. Natalie always left me feeling heard and understood, she worked with me as an individual to understand what would help me rather than giving me any generic suggestions or tools to use.
Natalie taught me the power of using meditation to engage with my feelings so I could start up a dialogue with how I was actually feeling rather than just feeling anxious all the time. Natalie also began a process with me of rebuilding some damaged family relationships, it was scary work to do but I trusted Natalie and she totally supported me through it. Four years later I am in stable recovery.
I still check in with Natalie from time to time and continue to use meditation as a tool to understand how I am feeling. My relationships have only continued getting stronger. Working with Natalie was integral to my recovery journey, she helped me feel safe, cared for and listened to.
